A big THANK YOU to the parents and friends who are cooking us pancakes on Tuesday to celebrate Shrove Tuesday.

Ash Wednesday brings the start of Lent. As part of our Lenten celebration, instead of giving up something we are going to do extra special deeds for those we love. These can be helping cook tea, doing the dishes, cleaning the bathroom, washing the car etc. We will then be decorating a class Lent tree with all these deeds. It will be exciting to watch the tree grow. Please remember to keep an eye out for special deeds your child does at home and write them on the leaves.

Thank you to the families who came to the meet the parent teacher night. I have information packs to give out to all parents so if you missed the information night, I will send them home with your child.

I will be asking for a couple of volunteers to come in on Tuesday next week to make pancakes for Shrove Tuesday. Keep an eye out in your communication books for a time. Thanks

This blog is another form of communication not only between parents, children and the teacher, but for interstate and overseas family members too. Just remember to give them the password so they can access photographs and they will be able to get a small snapshot of what goes on in room 1.
